Limits view parameters

The
Limits
view (5094-OF8IH, 5094-OF8IHXT) includes these parameters:
Parameter
Description
High Clamp
Indicates the maximum value that the output can take within the process with a range from -1.0E11 through 1.0E11. The default value is 100. The value must be greater than the
Low Clamp
value. If an output above the high limit is requested, the HLimit alarm is set and the output signal remains at the configured high limit. Output clamping does not apply in Program mode and Fault mode.
Low Clamp
Indicates the minimum value that the output can take within the process with a range from -1.0E11 through 1.0E11. The default value is 0. The value must be less than the
High Clamp
value. If an output below the low limit is requested, the LLimit alarm is set and the output signal remains at the configured low limit. Output clamping does not apply in Program mode and Fault mode.
Disable All Alarms
Disables all alarms.
Latch Clamp Alarms
Allows the latch clamp alarm to remain latched. This can be useful if alarm conditions need to be acknowledged by an operator.
Ramp in Run Mode
Enables output ramping during Run mode. Output changes are limited to the maximum ramp rate during Run mode.
Tip:
Ramp in Run Mode
must be selected when Enable HART is selected.
Latch Rate Alarm
Allows the latch rate alarm to remain latched. This can be useful if alarm conditions need to be acknowledged by an operator.
Ramp to Program Mode
Enables output ramping when transitioning to Program mode. Output changes are limited to the maximum ramp rate when transitioning to the program value.
Ramp to Fault Mode and Final Fault State
Enables output ramping when transitioning to either fault mode or final fault state. Output changes are limited to the maximum ramp rate when transitioning to the fault value or to the fault final state.
Ramp Rate
The value for the ramp rate, which defines the maximum rate at which the output is allowed to transition in Engineering Units/Sec.
Enable No Load Detection
Enables the detection of disconnected wiring from the load to the RTB or the RTB to the device.
