MILWAUKEE, Wis., September 15, 2026—Rockwell Automation, Inc. (NYSE: ROK), the world's largest company dedicated to industrial automation and digital transformation, will showcase technologies designed to help water and wastewater utilities modernize operations, improve efficiency and strengthen cybersecurity at WEFTEC 2026, the world’s largest water quality event. From Sept. 26–30 in New Orleans, attendees can visit booth 1317 to see how advanced control, cybersecurity and digital technologies are helping utilities address growing operational and infrastructure challenges.

At the event, attendees can explore how artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML) and an integrated control platform can help water and wastewater utilities optimize treatment processes, reduce operating costs and improve system performance. Featured technologies include the Allen-Bradley® CompactLogix™ 5480 controller, which enables operators to monitor real-time process conditions, make faster operational decisions and improve efficiency across water and wastewater treatment
applications.

"Water utilities are under increasing pressure to operate more efficiently while maintaining reliability and compliance," said Maurice Adams, North America industry lead, water/wastewater, Rockwell Automation, "By combining machine learning capabilities with our process control technology, strengthening systems through layered OT cybersecurity, and integrating power distribution and motor control intelligence, we help utilities improve performance, reduce energy and chemical consumption, and maintain high-quality treatment operations."

Among the latest innovations on display will be desalination process control solution standard. Designed for seawater and brine water reverse osmosis applications, the solution includes preconfigured libraries that simplify implementation, reduce project risk and accelerate deployment. Fully integrated within Rockwell’s unified control environment, it provides a data-ready foundation for predictive analytics and cybersecurity strategies across desalination facilities.

Attendees will also see how a unified control architecture brings process, power and motor control data together within a single platform. By consolidating operational visibility and intelligence, utilities can reduce engineering complexity, accelerate project execution and make faster, more informed decisions that support reliable and efficient treatment operations.

Cybersecurity will be another key focus at the booth, with demonstrations and discussions centered on helping utilities strengthen operational resilience and protect critical infrastructure. Topics will include aligning OT and IT cybersecurity strategies with NIST Cybersecurity Framework and using open automation approaches to connect distributed water and wastewater operations while maintaining visibility and control.
