Configure version control

Each project uses version control by default. If you already use version control on your computer, version control is automatically configured in
FactoryTalk Optix Studio
. If you are not already using version control on your computer, configure version control in
FactoryTalk Optix Studio
.
  1. In the title bar
    , select
    FactoryTalk Optix Studio Options
    .
  2. Under
    Version Control User Configuration
    , in
    User Name
    , type your username.
    TIP:
    User Name
     is the name that appears next to commits when you open
    View history
     for a project. View history also identifies your commits with an avatar that uses the first letter of your name.
  3. In
    User Email
    , type your email address.
  4. Select
    Save
    .
