Known anomalies in this release

The list identifies the known anomalies in
FactoryTalk Optix
version 1.7.x.
Use the identification information in parenthesis to track the anomaly in future releases or for reference when receiving assistance from Customer Support with a related issue.

Dint member of UDT Alias tag does not display Min/Max [5306346]

The Dint member of the UDT Alias tag does not display Min/Max values. For example, after importing tags online, the Min/Max values for the Dint member remain missing. To resolve this, ensure the
Enable extended properties
value is set to
True
before importing tags.
This anomaly first identified in version 1.7.0.

Logix alarms notifications not supported via EEC backplane [5305119]

Logix alarms notifications do not function when using an EEC with backplane communication to a Logix controller. For example, alarm widgets do not display status updates, and changes like Enable/Disable are not reflected in Optix. Avoid using controller-based alarms in this configuration or use a supported communication method.
This anomaly first identified in version 1.7.0.

PDF memory leak during screen switching [3147344]

A memory leak occurs when switching between the home screen and the PDF screen every 3 seconds. For example, repeated switching over 5 hours displays a gradual increase in memory usage. Avoid frequent switching or optimize screen transitions.
This anomaly first identified in version 1.3.0.

Codesys tags fail to import with special characters in project path [5439892]

CODESYS tags cannot be imported when the project name or storage path contains special characters. Error messages display about certificate verification failure due to fingerprint mismatch and inability to connect to the station. Ensure the project name and storage path do not include special characters.
This anomaly first identified in version 1.7.0.

Timer array type metadata not displayed during online import [5276444]

Members of the Timer Array type do not display metadata during online import. For example, after enabling extended properties and importing tags online, metadata for Timer Array members is missing. Ensure the configuration settings are correct and re-import the tags.
This anomaly first identified in version 1.7.0.

Special characters not recognized as case sensitive in password rules [4967372]

Some special characters, such as ñ, ö, and ä, are not recognized as case sensitive in the Set project password window when the rule for mixing uppercase and lowercase characters is enabled. For example, entering ñ and Ñ does not satisfy the rule, and the error icon remains red. Use standard English letters to meet the password rules.
This anomaly first identified in version 1.7.0.

Numeric input inconsistency across platforms for UInt64 and Int64 [4045878]

Different platforms display inconsistent results when entering maximum values for UInt64 and Int64 in numeric controls. For example, entering
18446744073709551615
in UInt64 displays
9223372036854775808
on Emulator/WebUI/Runtime-Tools but displays correctly on Terminal. Avoid using maximum values for UInt64 and Int64 until the inconsistency is resolved.
This anomaly first identified in version 1.6.0.

Entitlement allocation issue in Kubernetes deployment [5468202]

When
FactoryTalk Optix
is deployed in a Kubernetes container environment using online entitlement validation, Kubernetes deployment may be uninstalled or deleted without properly releasing the entitlement back to the license server.
In such cases, the entitlement remains allocated and is not automatically released. As a result, any new deployment created in the same environment may fail to obtain the required entitlement. To resolve this situation, contact Rockwell Automation Technical Support to perform an entitlement rehost.
