System object
The
System
object allows you to access system settings that provide information such as example date and time and the IP addresses of network interfaces.Add the
System
object to a project when you want the user to be able to view and reconfigure these settings and restart the system at runtime.
TIP:
The settings that are accessible through the
System
object are available through the FactoryTalk Optix System Manager
. All object functions are available on FactoryTalk Optix Panels
. Only the restart function is available in Windows. If you perform operations that are not allowed by
FactoryTalk Optix System Manager
through the System
object, an error message is thrown. If the configuration is incorrect, the last correct values are set in the System
