Sustainable Production Solutions
Industrial GreenPrint
The Rockwell Automation Industrial GreenPrint methodology helps your company implement a holistic and strategic WAGES (Water, Air, Gas, Electrical, Steam) resource management strategy that comprises four stages – "Awareness," "Efficiency," "Optimization," and "Aggregation" – to help you transform your practices and production to enable supply chain optimization and boost profitability.
By personalizing each phase of the Industrial GreenPrint methodology to meet your specific goals, Rockwell Automation consultants can help you:
- Effectively manage energy consumption patterns for the plant and manage asset performance.
- Predict the overall impact of production changes on energy use and emissions.
- Automate production for optimal WAGES consumption across the enterprise and throughout the supply chain.
Industrial GreenPrint Awareness

In the first stage of the Industrial GreenPrint methodology, use the automation devices and systems that you already have installed today to obtain the WAGES data needed to improve your understanding of resource consumption. Set a consumption baseline for each of your facilities to better track variations and expand information gathered about asset performance to include energy usage and power quality.
Industrial GreenPrint Efficiency

Leveraging the energy consumption data gathered in the first stage, the second stage allows you to make incremental and proactive behavioral, control and equipment improvements, such as forecasting, load aggregation and rate analysis exercises.
Integrate WAGES resource information with disparate business systems for enterprise-wide consumption visibility and efficiency improvements.
Industrial GreenPrint Optimization

In the third stage of the Industrial GreenPrint process, optimize your plant-floor assets by modeling production with energy as an economic variable. Combining the enterprisewide WAGES data collected at the Efficiency stage, including production metrics, regulatory reports, and behavioral and climate forecasts, you can balance and optimize the many process variables inherent to production.
Industrial GreenPrint Aggregation

The fourth stage of the Industrial GreenPrint allows you to compare consumption information against production output data and other enterprise resource planning level information. Separate manufacturing related WAGES resource costs from those incurred by facility operations and expand the manufacturing supply chain to include energy.
