Motor Control Applications
Fixed Speed Control
Rockwell Automation offers a complete line of distributed starters, softstarters, and overload relays designed to meet the motor management and motor protection needs of your application.
Electronic Motor Protection
- E1 Plus Electronic Overload Relay — Advanced thermal overload and phase loss motor protection with the flexibility to add additional protection and communication capabilities for low voltage motor applications.
- E3 and E3 Plus Electronic Overload Relay — Enhanced thermal overload motor protection with inherent phase loss, current imbalance, temperature, ground fault, jam, stall, and under load protection. DeviceNet communication is included to allow for the integration of motor diagnostic data into the automation infrastructure. Additional I/O and optional DeviceLogix are available for distributed motor control. Used on low voltage motor applications where motor diagnostic data and additional protection is important.
- Bulletin 825 Electronic Overload Relay — Advanced thermal overload, phase loss, current imbalance, temperature, ground fault, jam, stall, and under load motor protection with optional voltage protection. DeviceNet or Modbus communications are optional to allow for the integration of motor diagnostic and energy data into the automation infrastructure. Additional I/O and DeviceLogix are available for distributed motor control. Used on critical low voltage or medium voltage motor applications where motor diagnostic data, energy data, and additional protection are important.
Distributed Starters
- ArmorStart — for full-voltage, reversing, smart motor controller, and variable frequency drive applications
Softstarter Family
- SMC-3 — provides increased intelligence in a compact footprint
- SMC-Flex — provides advanced protection and diagnostics in a compact, maintainable, modular, and cost effective package
- Medium Voltage SMC-Flex — apply reduced voltage to a medium voltage AC motor to allow soft starting and stopping, minimizing mechanical damage to belts, gears and other machinery
Mounting Systems
- MCS Mounting System — enables starters to be mounted directly onto a Bus bar system
