Remote Access Dial-In Ethernet Modem Applications

Using Windows Dial-Up networking, the user can gain access to devices on Ethernet. By using Windows for the connection we make the modem connection transparent to the communications software (like RSLinx, see diagram below). Windows offers a familiar interface to ease configuration and use.

RSLinx will use a standard Ethernet driver (AB_ETH) to browse the remote network.
