FactoryTalk® ViewPoint 1.1 is a thin-client solution for FactoryTalk® View SE that adds the ability for FactoryTalk View projects to be used in a web browser.
A FactoryTalk ViewPoint system includes the FactoryTalk ViewPoint server plus client access licenses. The client access licenses are concurrent and administered by the FactoryTalk ViewPoint server. A FactoryTalk ViewPoint 3-client system allows 3 clients to connect to the FactoryTalk ViewPoint server at the same time. Each client device that consumes a license can have a maximum of 3 browsers or tabs connected to a single FactoryTalk ViewPoint server.
FactoryTalk ViewPoint client access licenses come in bundles; simply choose the level of client access licenses to meet your application needs. The client access licenses are also additive. For example, 9522-VWP03RENE (FactoryTalk ViewPoint 3-client system) + 9522-VWP05RENE (FactoryTalk ViewPoint 5-client system) equals 8 client access license capacity.
FactoryTalk ViewPoint 1.1 includes read-only client access licenses. These licenses do not support write backs to the control system. In a future release, full read/write licenses will be added to the product line. The FactoryTalk ViewPoint server will be able to assign both read-only and full read/write client access licenses at that time.
A FactoryTalk ViewPoint system must be purchased as an add-on to FactoryTalk View SE Network and Local applications.
