  • Basic Tracking Solution

    Our Basic Tracking Solution (BTS) is a pre-architected solution built on FactoryTalk® ProductionCentre. It provides basic production, material tracking and reporting functions. The solution also tracks for material and customer orders on the plant floor and data collection against product actually being produced.

    BTS provides MES functionality including:

    • Work Order Management
    • Material Tracking

    • Viewable Work Instructions, Drawings & SOP's

  • Discrete Manufacturing Solution

    Our Discrete Manufacturing Solution is a pre-engineered solution that combines error-proofing and Andon to help you solve problems such as:

    • Unaccounted for inventory
    • Inaccurate information
    • Project completion consistency
    • Quality control issues
    • Lack of visibility into manufacturing process

    The Rockwell Automation Error-Proofing solution provides an interface with the manufacturing process so the following error-proofing operations are tracked, traced and recorded.

    • Work Order – Initial build instructions
    • Barcode Verify – Verify the build record is accurate
    • Part Pick – Bins are lighted to indicate which parts to be picked
    • Part Pick Verify – Verify the part picked is the correct one
    • Torque Values – Collecting torque values associated with the product
    • Equipment Interface – Discrete interfaces, conveyors, tooling etc.
    • Manual Work Instruction
    • Digital/Analog Input permissive

    The Rockwell Automation Andon solution is a system that can interface with the manufacturing process so quality concerns are raised and addressed properly. If necessary, Andon can be logged to a database as part of a continuous-improvement program.

    • Provide for Andon Input at work cells to identify production concern
    • Annunciate conditions on an Andon Board, chimes, email notification with escalations
    • Log the condition, tagging the current time, date and shift (Buffered)
    • Provides a configuration ability to assign a user defined graphic file to individual Andon triggers
    • Provides a configuration ability to allow for Andon triggers to be assigned to work cell positions, and Andon boards
    • Provides Line Control
    • Typical inputs include push buttons, pull cords, process equipment, robots, conveyors, error-proofing operations
  • Mass Serialization

    Labeling is particularly important for in the pharmaceutical industry. Medication needs to be quickly verified using a random serial number generated for each package, and the data must be stored in a central location. This type of labeling process is called serialization. This solution can help you meet the strict compliance demands without hindering production, as well as help protect your profitability and reputation.

    Rockwell Automation supports the serialization infrastructure by leveraging our Integrated Architecture and deploying this solution on top of existing equipment on your packaging lines. The system creates the appropriate production data into a serialized barcode that is applied to the product's packaging, and manufacturers can manage and store this required data using our production and performance software.

    It's also scalable — so we can apply it to one packaging line, multiple packaging lines within a plant, or at the enterprise level. With our engineering resources around the world, we work with you to deploy and support solutions in their plants wherever they are located.

    Rockwell Automation has teamed with packaging OEMs to create an integrated machine and control system solution for serialization. This solution can be applied to any new or existing packaging line.
