Registration FAQ's

• What is the deadline to sign up for RSTechED?

  The deadline to reserve your hotel room at the group rate is July 11, 2008.
  The deadline for general registration for new attendees is July 11, 2008.

• What information will I need for RSTechED Online Registration
  • Credit card number and billing address information
  • Arrival and departure dates
• If I have registered for RSTechED and am unable to attend, can someone else from my company attend in my place?

• Can I change my class schedule at a later date?

  As long as the class is not full, you can go online to change sessions until July 11, 2008. There will also be kiosks at the event to allow you to change your sessions.

• What are the cancellation policies for RSTechED?

• What information will I need to make hotel reservations?
  While you are registering for RSTechED online, you will be asked if you would like to reserve a hotel room. To make hotel reservations, you will be asked the following:

  • arrival and departure dates
  • room preferences
  • number of adults and children in room
  • credit card information
• Can I call the hotel directly?

  No, Rockwell Software has received a special RSTechED event rate that will ONLY be available through the RSTechED online registration process. Please note: if you go through your travel agent or direct, you will not be eligible for the RSTechED rate.

• What is the RSTechED hotel rate?
  All rates shown are nightly and do not include government and service taxes. Rates are available up to 3 days prior to the event dates, as well as 3 days after the event has concluded. Non-event dates are subject to availability.

  • Bangkok Marriott Resort and Spa: 3900bht ($118.00 USD) per night, plus tax
• Will my credit card be billed for hotel expenses prior to my arrival?

  No. However, the hotel may routinely place an authorization request that acts as a "hold" against a certain amount of the available credit in your account. This hold provides the hotel with a level of assurance that they will be paid for services or products. When you check out, your card is billed for the exact amount of your stay. Contact the hotel for any discrepancies in your billing or for additional information.

• What is the deadline for RSTechED hotel registration?

  The deadline for hotel reservations is July 11, 2008.

• Can I arrive the weekend before or stay later at the hotel and get the same rate?

  Attendees and their guests may check in as early as July 20, 2008 and receive the group rate. Late checkouts are valid at the group rate until check out date of July 28, 2008. Both are subject to availability.

• If I decide later to make, cancel, or add people to my hotel reservation how do I go about doing that?

  The ability to make changes to your hotel registration is available through the RSTechED online registration.

• What if I forgot to reserve a hotel room or I had problems registering for one online?

  You can go back into the RSTechED online registration process (even after selecting and paying for classes) and still register for a hotel room, or make changes to your hotel registration.

• Can I use a different credit card when I get to the hotel?

  Yes. Any other method of payment that the hotel accepts may be used to cover the nights of your stay or any additional incurred charges at the time of your departure.

• Can I stay at an unlisted hotel?

  Although you're welcome to stay at any hotel you like, due to the logistics during the event, we strongly recommend that all attendees stay in the event hotel, Bangkok Marriott Resort and Spa.
