section allows you to view any connections to remote devices and the users who established them, as well as any management operations carried out by users on domain entities.

Operations

Audit
Operations
section allows you to view all the operations carried out within the domain.
You can access the
FactoryTalk Remote Access Manager
operations log by accessing
Audit
Operations
. This log reports a variety of device-related operations, such as registration, renaming, moving to other folders, permissions assignments, etc.
Through the filter bar at the top, it is possible to select the log reference period and filter out search results. The table located below the filter bar returns the desired results, including a small operation description.
You can download the log into a .csv or .xls spreadsheet, by clicking the button at the top right of the screen.

Description
Author name
The user that performed the operation.
Operation type
The list of available operations in a specific domain.
Target type
The component type affected by a specific operation.
Target name
The username of the user account that performed the listed operations.
Result
It groups operations by their outcome.
Date from
It sets a filter start date.
Date to
It sets a filter end date.

Connections

You can access information on the remote device connections by selecting
Audit
Connections
.
A table returns the desired results, including details about the connection duration. Double-click each connection row. A screen appears listing all the operations carried out by the selected user. You can then filter the results for a refined search and possibly export it.
By clicking
Operation Type
, connection details can be filtered by means of a context menu, including further details, such as chat messages, connection start and end, etc.
You can download the log into a .csv or .xls spreadsheet by clicking the button at the top right of the screen.

Description
User account name
The user that started the connection.
Device
The device for which connection information is to be retrieved.
Date from
It sets a filter start date.
Date to
It sets a filter end date.
NOTE:
The time information is provided in local time and time zone, where:
  • The Local time refers to the time when the query was raised by the local device.
  • The Time zone refers to the UTC offset.
TIP: Click the
Details
button to view information about each single device connection.
