Doug Hagerman
Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary
Doug Hagerman, senior vice president, general counsel and secretary at Rockwell Automation is responsible for ensuring that the legal team provides proactive advice on legal solutions to business objectives.
In addition to handling the company’s legal affairs, Doug and his team are responsible for compliance, the corporate secretarial function, government affairs, external communications, environmental safety, security, global trade compliance and product safety.
Prior to joining Rockwell Automation, Doug served as a litigation partner in the Chicago office of Foley & Lardner LLP and also as co-chair of the Securities Litigation, Enforcement & Regulation Practice Group. He represented litigants in all types of securities disputes.
Active in his profession and other organizations, Doug is chairman of the MAPI Law Council and is a member of the Council of Chief Legal Officers and the Society of Corporate Secretaries & Governance Professionals. He is a director of the National Association of Manufacturers. He also was elected chairman of the board for the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra in 2011.
Doug graduated from Drake University and earned his law degree from Harvard Law School. He studied economics and accounting and is a certified public accountant.
