Bob Becker
President, Latin America
Bob Becker is president, Latin America region at Rockwell Automation. He is responsible for all Rockwell Automation sales, marketing, technical support and operations in the region, which covers Mexico, Venezuela, Colombia, Brazil, Argentina and Chile, and the Caribbean, as well as other developing markets.
Bob leads his team in Global Sales and Marketing (GSM), the company’s customer-facing organization, bringing together global Sales regions, Channels and Marketing, Customer Care, Customer Experience, Sales Operations and focused selling resources for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), Global Accounts, and Oil & Gas.
His long professional relationship with Rockwell Automation started in 1972 when he joined Allen-Bradley as a sales trainee and held sales representative positions in the Boston and Detroit sales offices. In 1983, Bob was appointed manager for the Davenport district. In 1986 he was appointed district manager for the Denver district, a position he held for six years. He relocated to Mexico City in 1993 to become country manager of Mexico. In July 1996, Bob was named vice president of the company’s transportation industry segment at the Milwaukee headquarters. He held that position until accepting his current assignment in 1999.
Bob earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from North Dakota State University and an MBA from Oakland University in Rochester, Mich.
